Roller-Shutter Doors at a Farm in Godney, Wells
On our customer's farm at Godney, near Wells in Somerset, we installed three single-skin agricultural roller-shutter doors with 22 gauge galvanised steel laths.
All the openings here measured at 3m wide x 3.5m high, and the doors are operated with wired rocker switches, connected to DRS 160NM tube motors which drive the doors. These motors come complete with manual override crank handles which allow the user to manually operate the door in the result of a power cut. All of these doors are complete with RSB-0 safety brakes, which stop the door falling back in the result of a motor failure. These doors also feature 65mm guides and heavy-duty rubber weather seals.
The personnel door also fitted in this building features a 45mm leaf, fixed to the steel doorframe, with 3 ball-bearing dog bolt butt hinges along with low profile, weather resistant aluminum thresholds sitting at the bottom of the door. The doorframe also includes expanding side panels to ensure a tight fit into the opening.
Our personnel doors come powder-coated as standard and our client for this job opted for Juniper Green (RAL 160 20 10) to match the cladding of the building.
