Insulated Roller-Shutter Doors in South Molton, Devon
On our customer's farm at South Molton in Devon we installed three insulated agricultural roller-shutter doors with twin-skinned foam-filled laths, finished in Anthracite Grey plastisol coating (RAL 7016).
All the openings here measure at 4.5m wide x 3.6m high, and the doors are driven by DRS 360NM tube motors. These motors come complete with manual override crank handles which allow the user to manually operate the door in the event of a power cut. All of these doors are complete with RSB-1/2 safety brakes, which stop the door falling back in the event of a motor failure. The curtains close snugly into 90mm brush-edged guides for minimal rattling and optimal draught exclusion.
For these particular doors, our client wanted to be able to control all four doors from a single remote control. We installed Teleco control panels, which allow for the doors to open and close fully with the single press of a button. To allow for this feature, we had to install resistive safety edge systems and photo cells which stop, and re-open the door automatically when the door comes in contact with an obstruction.
For added convenience, this particular client also asked to be able to control the doors from their smartphone. We installed a Teleco Daisy system which connects to the in-building Wi-Fi and allows the opening and closure of all four doors from a mobile app.
